Higher education in Singapore is overseen by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Committee for Private Education (CPE):

Private universities and foreign branch campuses typically cost between SGD 15,000 and SGD 28,000 per year, whereas autonomous public universities (such as NUS or NTU) range from SGD 30,000 to SGD 50,000+ per year without government subsidies. Many private institutions offer fast-track 2-year Bachelor's degrees, which lowers overall tuition expenditure

Student visa applications are processed online through the Solar System (Student's Pass Online Application & Registration) managed by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Once accepted by an approved institution, your school initiates the application, and you will receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter before traveling. Upon arrival in Singapore, you must undergo a routine medical check-up to receive your formal Student's Pass card

International students enrolled in full-time degree programs at MOM-approved institutions (such as public autonomous universities and selected polytechnics) are permitted to work part-time for up to 16 hours per week during term time, and full-time during official vacation periods without a separate work permit. However, students attending private institutions not on MOM's approved list are strictly prohibited from working during their studies

Singapore does not offer an automatic open post-study work visa. However, graduates from eligible Institutes of Higher Learning can apply for a non-renewable 1-year Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) to stay back and seek employment. Once a job offer is secured, your employer will sponsor an Employment Pass (EP) or S Pass. Permanent Residency (PR) applications can be submitted after holding a valid EP or S Pass while residing and working in Singapore.
