Admission Requirements International students must satisfy relevant academic and English language standards:
Undergraduate: Direct entry requires recognized qualifications such as GCE A-Levels or IB Diploma. Bangladeshi HSC graduates must complete an approved foundation pathway (such as UNSW College Foundation Studies) or 1 year of recognized university study in Bangladesh.
Postgraduate: Completion of a recognized Bachelor’s degree with faculty-specific minimum academic cutoffs (typically 65%–70%+ average).
English Proficiency (Standard Minimums):
IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each sub-band) (Faculty of Business/Law requires 7.0).
PTE Academic: 64 overall (minimum 54 in each sub-skill).
TOEFL iBT: 90 overall (minimum 23 in Writing, 22 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking).

Intakes
Intake Information UNSW operates on a three-term (trimester) academic calendar:
Term 1 (February Intake): Main intake window across all faculties and programs. Recommended offshore application cutoff: Late September / October.
Term 2 (May/June Intake): Mid-year intake offering select undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees. Application cutoff: March / April.
Term 3 (September Intake): Secondary intake for popular engineering, IT, and business streams. Application cutoff: June / July.

Scholarship Information
International Scientia Coursework Scholarship: Offers up to 100% full tuition coverage or AUD $20,000 per year for high-achieving leaders demonstrating academic excellence and extracurricular achievement.
International Student Award: Provides a 15% tuition fee waiver for the duration of the program for eligible international candidates.
